What to watch out for when mountain biking.

Rules of Conduct
Why rules?
Following bad weather conditions it is possible that routes become impassable, Rocks and trees could also block the trails. Routes often pass through sections of steep terrain, where falls are possible, and such danger areas are not made secure. Due to forestry and farming activities, the presence of motorised vehicles on the MTB-routes is possible. It is also possible that routes may be temporarily closed due to tree felling.

For the above reasons there are particular rules and codes of conduct for the Tyrolean MTB-routes, to protect cyclists and all who work in the woodland areas.
Adhere to the rules!
For your own safety adhere to the rules and be aware of unexpected obstacles in your path
-Ride with controlled speed, particularly round bends and corners, and be aware that obstacles are always a possibility (i.e. damage to road, stones, branches, farm animals, cattle grids, gates, tractors and forestry maschinery, and authorised vehicles!)
-Be careful of hikers and walkers, and only overtake at walking pace.
-Know your own ability and be aware of the difficulty of the route you plan to take. Wear a helmet and check your equipment before every bike ride!
-Stop if routes are closed, and accept that this route's function is primarily for farming and forestry. Close all animal gates!
-Be careful of nature and wildlife, keep to the marked routes, and end your bike tour before dusk.
-Don't leave rubbish behind!
Single trail - different rules!
Further rules and regulations for extremely difficult routes and single trails.
-Attention! Cycling in these routes is at your own risk, and only at walking pace - the condition of the route is not controlled!
-Be careful of walkers, farm and wild animals - stay on the tracks.
-Take care of mountain dangers!
