Head chef Simon Taxacher has transformed his restaurant into an artist's studio for gourmet food lovers. The restaurant is the first and only in the Tyrol to be awarded two Michelin stars, and indeed only one of ten such restaurants in Austria. Its appearance in the Michelin Guide 2009 is the greatest highlight since the Rosengarten opened in Decenber 2000.

Taxacher achieved his first star in 2005 with his French-Mediterranian style of cooking, and a further award the following year from Gault Milau. Yet despite this success everything centres primarily around his guests.
