This summer Westendorf in the Brixental will be a paradise for GPS-treasure hunters: With 20 hidden 'treasures', this holiday resort in the heart of the Kitzbüheler Alpen is the launch pad for Geocaching in the Brixental mountain world. There are 25 routes for different ability levels with individual names, like "behind relaxed trees“ or "on the path of indulgence“.

This modern treasure hunt, known as Geocaching, combines traditional hiking with the newest technology and puzzle solving fun. Equipped with GPS gadgets, the adventurers head off to look for the hidden treasure and enjoy great experiences along the route The coordinates entered into the gadget will lead the way to the hiding place. By heading towards an unknown location, walkers get to enjoy nature in a completely new way. When they arrive at the location of the end coordinates, things really get interesting, as it is only by finding the treasure, that those who seek it can uncover the coordinates for the next stage of the hunt.
