Cross-country Skiing in Brixental

There are so many ways in which to enjoy the wonderful natural scenery of the Brixen Valley and its idyllic side valleys. Perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails and winter hiking paths snake their way through the valley and connect seamlessly with the networks of neighbouring regions in the Kitzbühel Alps. An approximately 4,5 km-long alpine trail in Aschau ensure cross-country skiing until into the beginning of spring.
 

Brixental Trail Network


Length: approx.30 km
Difficulty: blue to red, beginner to intermediate
Course: in the valley area of Brixental
Grooming: 2 cross-country ski trails, 1 wide skating track
Description:
Cross-country trail with skating track connecting villages along the whole Brixen Valley. Access points in the villages of Kirchberg, Brixen im Thale and Westendorf. The network of trails has connections in the direction of Kitzbühel/Reith. Places to stop for refreshment along the trails. Groomed daily!
 

Hochbrixen Alpine Trail


Length: 4.5 km

Altitude: 1,300 m
Grooming: 1 cross-country trail, 1 wide skating track
Accessibility: Hochbrixen gondola
Open: throughout the winter season
Level of difficulty: blue, beginner
Special Features:
The cross-country ski trail is situated right in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental ski resort and offers amazing views of the surrounding mountains. Ski huts and mountain restaurants very close by. Ideal for training purposes.
