Visit the Aurach game park and its stunning countryside, the principle location for the filming of several popular films with star Hansi Hinterseer. This game park is situated at 1,080m above sea level on the sunny slopes of the Branderhof and is unique in Tyrol. There is plenty to see here including red deer, fallow deer, ibex, bighorn, Tibetan yaks, lynx, wild boar, kangaroos, monkeys, eagle-owl, capercaillie, as well as animals for children to stroke.
Get right up close to the animals, some of which a few of us may have had swift encounters with in the wild before. Take photos and film as much as you like. A lovely hiking path leads you through the biggest enclosure in Tyrol (approx. 40 ha), which is surrounded by the wildly romantic scenery of the Kitzbühel Alps. Don’t miss feeding time at 2.30 pm, a true spectacle of nature. There is also a playground for children.
From Aurach near Kitzbühel a pleasant hiking path (45 min.) and a road (4 km) lead to the deer park.
